"No problem..." He replied vaguely, finally tearing his eyes away from the tribe on the horizon. "Excuse me a moment..." he turned away from her and apparently hit himself in the face, shouting a string of swearwords, and turning back with a newly straightened nose.
"Come on, let's head back. Ah wanna wash this fuckin' mess off my face." he mumbled, sounding exausted. But thankfully not strange and distant anymore. He looked at her for a moment or two before marching off to retrieve his things, and climbing back onto Bulls back.

Aira tilted her head to the side as to have a better look at what Henry was doing, the hitting-himself and cursing confused her for a while, but then she found out.
"Yeah, thats a good idea, you're covered in so much dirt that people would confuse you for a piece of landscape if you lay downe", she was indeed back to her old happy self again.
She would've helped him walk over to Bull, but had he refused she would let him walk by himself. Despite all the things that had happened Aira was content; She'd had her goodbye scene with Muasa way before they were waiting for Henry, and she wanted to look forward instead of backwards, especially now that her future was 100% her own to create with no risks of bumping into the tribe and thus be trapped with them again.
She looked down at herself when she had got onto Xon. Maybe she should get herself a new set of clothes. Releasing herself from the past and... By the word 'past' she suddenly remembered that Muasa had told her about her past.. Before the tribe.
Something about that her dad had been a wanted person, and her mom his partner in crime. And she had had a name, another one than Aira. Her name had been Fie. But she refused to use that. She was not raised by outlaws, and no longer part of a tribe. A milestone had been added to her life-road. She was Aira the free spirit. By these dramatic thoughts she couldn't help but snigger while they were riding back to Gwangi, sending Henry a relaxed grin and wondering if he would be a part of her future. She hoped so. But right now she would just take the events one by one as they happened.

Henry was much too proud to accept help to walk, also he wasn't injured very badly anyway. "Yeah, not a good look for a job interview..." he sighed, realizing that he was actually going to go to that now.
Their adventure was over, and it was only 3pm. Henry looked at his watch and wondered if he should return it to Silas, it was probably a family heirloom or something. He looked over at Aira and shrugged to himself, pocketing it.
One step at a time.
((The end))
