Aira looked up at him unable to decide which feeling she should rely on at the moment, her head was in total chaos.
"You came, I'm so happy that you're here, and so are the otherse!", she rambled, but then stabilized an evenly speech pace, "but I don't know what Ooun is gonna do nowe", she looked unsure at the almost-naked man in front of them.
Ooun crossed his arms, and said something in a solemn strong voice - he spoke in their native language, so Henry was unable to understand what he said, but everyone else rejoiced untill Ooun raised a hand. He spoke again, this time for a little longer, he sounded more serious. The tribe people looked at each other and started to mumble, and Aira said something to Ooun in loud protest, but he was adamant. She turned around to look at Henry and started to explain in a tone as if she could not believe what she was about to say.
"He doubts your worth because you were late, so he wants to test you. A trial of strenghte", she looked apologizing and begging at him, "I tried to talk him off ite. Henry, I.. I don't want you to do this, you've already done so muche...", she slowly turned around in a despondent manner about to slide down from Bull's back.

Henry obviously couldn't understand a word they were saying as they discussed whatever it was they were talking about. He narrowed his eyes somewhat but otherwise didn't change his adamant expression.
Only when Aira spoke to him in English did he twitch. "He wants to test me?!" Henry scowled at the man on the ground until an uncomfortable silence fell over the four in the center of the circle. Henry holstered both his weapons and slid off Bull onto the ground, then he dropped his heavy gun belt onto the ground with a metallic thump which echoed across the clearing. "Is this guy important to yer Aira?" he asked in passing, a casual question but more important than she could know. He handed her his hat, and whether she replied one way or the other, he swaggered up to the man who had challenged him.
"You want to 'test my strength' old man? Go ahead." He rolled back his sleeves and gave him a threatening look. "But we're gonna do this MY way."

Aira couldn't believe that Henry was actually going to take the challenge. How far would he seriously go for her? "He's, uh whate?", the question had caught her offguard, and didn't know what to respond with, but it didn't seem to matter anyway. She took his hat and clutched it between her fingers.
Ooun kept his stoneface when Henry approached and let his swagger rain over him. Then he smiled. "You claim the right to choose your opponent, then you choose me?", he was suddenly talking english to Henry, same accent as Aira, but much heavier, "if your way has no rules I accept, that is how we are going to fighte. First man down loosese."
Now he adressed himself to the crowd with a smile, shouted out something with raised hands, and everyone made a short loud noise before they made the circle even bigger. Aira leaded Bull out of the circle with big regret and shame drawn on her face. She shouted something at Ooun in an angry tone, and he shouted back, just as angry but more serious.
"Come at me, Henry the firespirit", Ooun said and put himself in a ready position.

"No rules?" Henry retorted, circling Ooun with his fists raised defensively. "I dropped my weapons... I thought you people were bound by your honor and shit like that!" He continued, stalling while he sized up the other man for weaknesses. He was older than Henry, and smaller... but he looked battered enough that Henry could tell he was no stranger to a fight.
It hardly mattered if the other held a knife though, Henry had a knife too. No honor among theives. He kept circling, awaiting the mans response, or maybe waiting for an opening to strike. It was hard to tell what was going through his head. But it was clear that he was in his element. Henry lived to fight.

"Maybe honor is tied with standing alone where you come from, but here we know how to use our surroundingse. We can fight with our bodies to begin with, but hear this, I will not let you take her willingly."
With those words Ooun charged towards Henry in some sort of blind rage and lifted arms exposing weak spots all over, but in the last second he stepped to the left and let himself fall to the side. He landed on his hands and swept Henry's legs away with his own in one fast movement. He made his one hand turn into a fist in which he gathered some dust.
Aira was standing at the edge og the crowd and was just about to break in, but got held back by one of her fellow natives.

Henry watched the man come at him exposed, and aimed a short sharp punch which would have hit the man in the face had he not dropped to the ground at the last moment, dodging it. Unfortunately for Ooun though, his attempt to knock Henry over failed miserably. Henry was as steady in his fighting stance as an ankylosaurus, Ooun only sent him staggering back a few paces and alerted him to the fact that the man was grasping at dust.
So he wanted to fight dirty? So be it.
Without letting on that he'd predicted Oouns next move, he feigned a full on attack, ready to shield his face from flying dust that was sure to come his way. Then he punched him in the gut.

Ooun recieved the punch, but his face didn't show how much it hurt, actually it hadn't change a bit. (Of course it hurts, he is just trained in hiding it to intimidate the opponent)
He stood up straight again taking a deep breath, and then slammed his hands into Henry's ears making him deaf and bewildered long enough for him to sent a punch to he hollow in his throat. The dust in Ooun's hand had been carelessly released while he'd slammed Henry, apparently the pain in his stomach had made him so angry that he skipped the blinding and went straight for the damaging part.

Henry reeled backwards, gasping for air while a shrill bell rang in his ears. He recovered in time to regain defense, although he was still out of breath.
He watched Ooun blankly, still feigning that he was incapacitated, leaning on his knees and gasping until the last moment when the man would approach him. Then he straightened up, slamming an elbow into precisely the place in Oouns middle that he had punched before. He quickly followed up with a sharp punch to the side of his jaw when he reeled over.
It was a sloppy attack, hindered by his lack of breath. But a powerful one.

Ooun collapsed on the ground with arms around his belly. He lay down without moving for a while, but when rolled onto his back ans stretched out in a jump kick setting off with his arms and the power from his legs, and hit right into Henry's solar plexus.

This didn't knock Henry clean off his feet, he was a fucking mountain after all. It did send him reeling back though. Henry was sick of this bullshit, The man was making a fool of him with his stupid tricks and somersaults.
"FUCK...YOU!" he gasped, and launched himself at Ooun before he could stand up. They were both on the ground now, with Henry on top.
He grabbed Oouns head with both hands and started forcibly smacking the back of his skull against the rocky ground. Once, twice, three times... each hit made a sickening crack. If Ooun didn't want to die, he would need to do something fast before the enraged cowboy cracked his skull open. There was no sign of mercy in Henrys eyes now, he couldn't think of Aira, or even remember why he was fighting. All he could think of was killing this man.

Now Ooun kinda had to use his sandattack. With both of Henry's arms busy he had nothing to cover his eyes with.
Ooun flung dust at him in pure reflexes and made an uppercut with his palm up his nose. He managed to get free from Henry, and to stand up. He was swaying a bit, and the back of his head was marinated in blood.
Then Muasa took a single step forward. "Ooun, it is enough. Stop before one of you get killed." "No! I am going to win this fight, and Aira is comming with us." "Can you not see she does not want to. We stole her many years ago when she did not have a free will, you knew she could not be held back. Daughter of the sun or not; she does not belong to us."
Ooun looked like he was having an inner struggle. Then he dropped his shoulders. "Victory goes to Henry", this he said both in English and his native language. Noone cheered this time.

"Finally! What a waste of fuckin' time!" Henry called out, rubbing the last of Oouns dirt attack from his eyes and spitting blood on the ground. His nose was clearly broken and bleeding down his mouth and chin. "You could have at least let me kill you, you fuckin' coward!" he added, spitting again, but this time as more of an insult to Ooun than to clear blood from his mouth.

Ooun got helped by some of the tribe members, completely ignoring Henry's insults. He'd just realized something important; from now on he would listen more to Muasa. He was after all kinda new at the job as chief, it had only been four years since his father, the old chief, had died.
Aira came sprinting out from the crowd and embraced Henry as if they were just lovers that hadn't seen each other for a long time, and as if he hadn't just almost smeared someone's brain out on the ground. "Thankyou, you were so great, I'm sorry for all this", she rambled over his shoulder not even afraid of the obvious anger that he radiated. She sighed, so relieved that it was now over, she would never expose Henry to such things ever again.
Muasa approached slowly supporting himself with the staff - apparently nobody was seized by Henry's rage, or maybe they understood it quite well and accepted. He fixed his eyes on the two, dropped the staff and touched their foreheads. Then he did a single clap and mumbled something.
"You are free to go now sweet Aira. It was nice to see you one last time, and to know that you are doing good", he was speaking english so that Henry could understand, and he sent him a warm smile, completely out of place when you think about what had just happened.
Some of the natives came to say goodbye to Aira, they looked both sad and happy at the same time, some of them even said things to Henry that he couldn't understand anyway. It was like they tried to see things as positively as possible. Then they prepared to leave.

Henry was completely out of the loop apparently, the man who had moments ago been as volatile and angry as he was, was suddenly turning and leaving without a glance his way. Aira barreled into him again while he was staring blankly ahead. Then the old shaman was coming this way, doing some weird ritual which took no time at all.
"Do you have my hat and belt?" He asked Aira, as they were finally standing alone in the desert. The back of the tribe shrinking away into the distance. He didn't seem to have taken in what had just happened, just staring ahead blankly, he often got weird like this after a kill. Even weirder after one was taken from him.

Aira had been so engulfed by watching the tribe leave that she blinked a few times when Henry spoke - she was not wearing her head dress, it was gone.
"Uh yes, Xon is watching your thingse", she pointed at her Chryoloposaurus lying down a couple of meters away with some stuff next to him. Henry's hat was moving around, apaprently Roc had found it to be an amusing toy. They were now both 100% visible now the tribe was gone, it had happened rather fast and strange.
"Thanks again Henry", she said, slowly regaining her old self.
