Evelyn half walked, half stumbled back to her room. If it wasn't for the detective holding her strait she wold have probably fallen over her own two feet. She nodded as she complied to sit on her bed, her hands whipping at the tears on her dampened face. She didnt know what was going on, her mind was stuck between two worlds: The real Gwangi asylem where everything was neat and clean, and the false Gwangi town where dust clouds billowed and dinosaurs lived among humans.
She sobbed quietly as she tried to pick out her memorys figure out what was real or fake... but she couldn't she couldn't tell apart what was her reality. She hunched over on the edge of the bed, her face buried into her palms as Silas instructed her. She knew he was just trying to help her but she couldn't shake the feeling that something was different about him. "Ah... He..." she stumbled over her words unsure how to tell her story, unsure how to respond, unsure how to start.
"Ah was looking for something.... him? maybe? ...no... something ah was going to get... something" she stated taking in a deep breath trying to calm down. Her memories raced past her both ones that were real and ones that were real to her. "He... he was worried... but ah... ah cant remember... ah really can't.. there everywhere.. the memories.. the visions... silas why is this happening.. WHERE AM I?" she sobbed into her hands, half collapsing into her own lap, her hands moving to grip her skull once more "Why were they screaming.. hitting.. why..."

Silas watched her quietly as she spoke, blue eyes searching her for answers as she cried into her hands. This wasn't working, she was telling him the same story she always did, a jumbled mass of reality and fiction. "Evelyn it's okay, you're safe here with me." he assured her and scratched his chair along the floor closer to the bed. He tried to gently pry her hands off her scalp and stroked down her wispy hair "Shhh it's okay, I wont ask you anymore today, relax" He wouldn't be getting any answers today, she was too agitated. In fact the whole Asylym was in chaos lately, he could hear an argument out in the hall as they spoke.

"Ah.. ahm sorry Silas.. Ah know.. I think.. that ah need to tell you.. but ah can't.. Ah cant figure out whats going on, where ah am.. who ah even am anymore" She stated, tentivily peeling her hands off of her head as he moved them. Well, she seemed to be back in the real world.. for now at least. She looked up at him with wide sad eyes, mimicking the look of a lost and hurt puppy. She suddenly furrowed her brows, her eyes dropping to a sideways look at the floor, trying to remember trying.. trying to piece together her way through what was real and what was fantasy.
"They.. they yelled.. through a fit about.. the something ah was looking for... what.. what was ah looking for" she trailed off closing her eyes and returning to her slumped state feeling as she failed to remember yet again. It was honestly a sad sight, such a brilliant young woman full of potential was here in a state where she couldn't figure anything out, couldn't remember, looking and feeling so distraught. The hand gently brushing her silver locks soothed her, slightly, but still helped. She looked back up at him with that puppy look, wiping tears from her face with a hand "Ah.. ah don't know why you put up with me.. ah'ma mess..." she stated, chuckling suddenly at herself. Finally, a small break of reality as reverted back to an almost forgotten normal behavior and expression... But.. it didn't last long as she looked at the wall she had been writing on just moments before. Her eyes narrowed and her expression blankend. "The writting.."

Silas listened, smoothing her hair as it seemed to calm her down. He dared to hope that she was about to remember what she had been looking for, but as she trailed off again he let his hand drop back to his side. "Of course not Evelyn." he said gently "You're no trouble." he sighed and leaned back in his chair observing her.
his training in psychology had taught him never to get to close to a client but speaking with Evelyn had always been difficult for him, he had to admit he felt for the poor girl. She could have had a normal life, but whatever had happened had broken her, mind and spirit. In other circumstances, another world another time, maybe they even could have dated... that thought was unproffessional however... He pushed it aside.
"What about the writing?" he asked gently, following her gaze to the wall.

She stared at the wall for several moments before furrowing her brows at it. The writing which she was staring at, it was just a random mix up of letters and symbols, no coherent writing could be seen by a normal person "they.. they make no sense..." she muttered slowly standing back up and making a slow swayed b-line to the wall. She pressed a hand to the crayon written symbols and dragging her hand down them "but... they do..?" she said looking confused before leaning her head on the wall. She gave a sideways look to Silas, her expression was back to its neutral state that has held its grip on her features for so long. It seemed he had lost her again, that she was reverting back to her 'dream state' but something was slightly different..
She pulled the crayon from before from her pocket, turning to the wall and writing on a blank canvas, but it looked different from the rest... almost like.. a formula? A code? what was this? what was she writing now? Suddenly she spoke back up "Silas... really... where am I?" she asked not seeming to even hint at what world she was seeing right now, her eyes focused on her task in hand. Her hand was actually bruised and rubbed pretty much raw from her constant writing and drawing during her time here in the asylum.

Silas gave her a sad look when she turned back around from her wall, the world would have changed again. Suddenly she was looking up at him as though she was lying in bed. The room was a familiar cozy wooden one instead of the asylym dorm, and morning sunlight was glowing on Silas' vivid purple hair. "Evelyn... just wake up..." He said in a hoarse voice and when he turned his head the light from the window showed that his beard had grown unruly and his eyes were red like he had been crying.
The world changed back again in a flash however, Silas once again sat in a wooden chair in his dull blue suit. He was watching her curiously. "We're in Gwangi mental hospital." he answered honestly with a sad look in his blue eyes. He swallowed and looked at his feet for a moment.

Evelyn suddenly dropped the crayon as a vision appeared before her for a brief moment. She suddenly stumbled and fell over, tears enveloping over her eyelids once more and streaming down her face as a corner of the room caught her from falling strait onto her side. She slide down the connected walls from the corner which she was slumped up against on her back. Her eyes running over the room once more not even noticing Silas in the room, her mind fighting itself until it created a migraine. She released a scream for a moment as she slumped to the floor into a sitting a fetal position with her hands pulling the hair on the back of her head. She barely even heard the answered question as she let out another screech before falling into a fit of whimpering. "Silas.. Silas... Im so sorry, Silas where are you..." she sobbed in the rooms corner starting to hyperventilate. It was all strange, she didn't know.. she thought she did for a split second but now, the visions, why did they have to be so clear, so real, why? she asked herself unable to calm herself from another breakdown.

"I'm right here!" Silas cried out jumping to his feet, he was obviously losing his nerve from seeing her so upset again. He crouched down next to her and held her tightly until she stopped struggling and crying. "Please calm down. I'm right here, I haven't gone anywhere...." His time questioning was over, he knew it, but he decided to stay a while longer at least to calm her down. Pennyfeather would not appreciate it if he left her patients in a worse mental state than when he arrived.
"Evelyn why don't you play me that song? The one you love so much." he suggested quietly, pulling her violin case from the corner and placing it in front of where they knelt on the cold floor. He had found that this had cheered her up other times... although he was not sure why she would call it "our song" as though they had shared an experience together in the past.
Silas knew that he was too close to this case, he knew that he should pass it on to another... but he just couldn't.... he needed to help her... to prove her innocence. He needed to find a way to get through to her.

She struggled against him for a few moments as if trying to squirm away, but she was trapped by him and the corner. She looked up at him as he told her he was right there beside her, the detective looked exactly like her Silas but his hair was different, they even smelled the same... She closed her eyes feeling so very confused, her hands still gripping her head as the detective held her close trying to calm her down. But it wasn't working. "N-no, no your not him! your not my Silas" she stated, removing her hands from her head and shoving at his chest weakly but then stopped looking back at him. "But you.. look so much like him.. I can't... I don't know!" she yelled, her words transferring into a scream at the end. Well at least she wasn't talking in an accent anymore.
She curled back up into a ball the best she could, her sobbing continued she ignored the violin as it was suggested "No I don't want to I don't!" she yelled looking up at the room trying to regrasp this world once more. "Asylum.. Im in.. no my house.. Silas's... no I.. I" suddenly she fell limp and silent, her pupils had narrowed out and looked lifeless as she stared at a corner of the room, but not focusing on it. If it wasn't for her heart still beating and shallow breathing one would think she had died right then and there. It was one of her very rare tendencies, shutting down by somehow blocking off any conscious thought in her brain and going into a vegetable like state that she would lay in from a few minutes to several hours.
It was a difficult state to get her out of, and also a very dangerous state to be in.

"I am Silas." he assured her, not really knowing what she meant, but she was unconvinced and even her violin did not distract her. Silas had no idea what to do now, he had never seen her this bad before. What could she possibly have seen to upset her so much, he couldn't imagine. "Oh no... Evelyn, Evelyn! Wake up!" he said sharply to her as her head rolled back limp, this was not a good thing. The detective let out a frustrated moan which betrayed his usually calm demeanor, he lifted the frail girl off the cold floor and placed her on her bed in a sitting position. "Evelyn just wake up now please..."
"Evelyn wake up!" Silas cried out hoarsely, in another world, another time. But this time Evelyn did wake up, Silas' eyes widened watching her own open for the first time in too long. "Evelyn, you're awake." he said, his voice breaking in disbelief as he jumped from his worn armchair and leaned by the bed, his face splitting into a grin. His hair was purple.

When Silas moved her to the bed and sat her down her motionless, limp body just kinda flopped onto her side on the bed, her eyes almost endlessly gaping distantly in front of her.
When she woke up back in the dusty wooden room she stared at Silas momentarily as he lept off the chair, she closed her eyes as her ears were ringing momentarily making her stiffen slightly from the pain before looking back up at him. "Silas..." she murmured looking almost awe stricken, her hand reaching up to caress his cheek where a more fuller beard had started to grow out. She had little memory of the asylum she had just been in thinking it was a dream as she could only remember a white room, blood, writings... but that was all. However she could remember what she was feeling during it all.
"Ahm so glad to see you" she said sitting up in bed slowly, feeling pretty weak for some reason. She looked at him a bit puzzled and conserned, her fingers able to twine in his beard almost and he looked like he had been crying "whats wrong, what happened?"

Silas grasped her hand on his cheek and squeezed it, he looked like he was about to cry again.. "Ah... ah mean... sorry." he paused to take a deep breath "You've been unconcious for 14 days..." he managed to explain "You... were knocked down... a stampede... don't you remember?" he kneeled down on the floor by her bed and leaned next to her, squeezing her hand gently. "The doctor said you wouldn't wake up." he added, his voice breaking again.

Her expression dropped to one of pure shock as he explained, watching him as he knelt down to continue. She looked away briefly as she tried to recollect her thoughts, looking back at him a moment later with a puzzled expression "No ah... ah don't remember.. ahm sorry" she said feeling horrible about the fact that she was the one that had made him upset. She quickly leaned down to him, wrapping her arms around him to hold him close "No.. no Silas don't be upset... ah'm fine now.. the doctor was wrong. ah'm sorry for upsettin' you" she said loosening slightly to kiss the side of his head before peeling away a lil more to look at him with an apologetic and conserned look as she pressed her forehead to his own. "Please don't be upset.. I don't like it when your upset"

Silas shook his head, speechless for a while as she held him. "I'm... not... it's ok... I'm just so happy you're back." he managed and gave a weak sort of chuckle before standing back up suddenly. "Do... do you need anything? Are you hungry? Thirsty? Tea I'll make tea!" he exclaimed at last and stood awkwardly in the doorway, as though he were afraid to leave her alone in case she fell asleep again and didnt wake.
The wall of the bedroom behind him had cracked and warped plaster like Silas' house had slowly been being crushed by something large leaning against it. A red scaly hill poking up behind the window made it fairly obvious what had happened, Red had been leaning against the wall for two weeks it seemed.

She hadn't really thought about food or water until he suggested it, she suddenly realized how damn thirsty she was. When he loomed at the doorway for a moment she gave a worried smile at him "Water.. just water... water sounds amazin' right about now" she stated, knowing that she was probably dehydrated to her wits end and tea isn't exactly the most hydrating of drinks. Strange though, she didn't really feel hungry, probably because her body was just feasting on her lean muscles instead for the last couple weeks. She was looking and feeling much frailer then her usual self.
Looking up as a wall creaked she noticed the cracked plaster, suddenly she panicked slightly on the inside as BigRed entered her thoughts. She quickly opened the nearest window and leaned out of it slightly, half stumbling on the way as she forgot how to even walk for a second. "Red!" she called outside looking around for the familiar allosaurus's head whom was probably worried sick and stressing himself out from not seeing his owner for so long. Another creek sounded as the dinosaur popped to attention, quickly the theropod stood up, turning around to press his nose roughly into his owners chest as she leaned out of the window. "Ouch Red, gentle boy.." she laughed lightly, wrapping her arms around the dino's broad head "Ah missed you too.. Sorry for worryin' ya.. ah'm okay now"
