Perry could hear the banging in the vents, also thinking that maybe Prudence was coming back, but his stomach dropped at Henry's news. The blonde quickly crawls over to look into the vent after Henry moved, then lets out a soft, distressed noise when Prudence was nowhere to be found. "Prudence!" he calls out, growing increasingly fearful for her well-being.
It wasn't long before he heard the crash from the floor above and he jolts up to his feet, scrambling for the stairs. "Henry, you stay down here!" he calls back to the other man before rushing up the stairs, practically leaping over each step.
Perry glances into every room he went by to see if Prudence was in one until he finally reaches the infirmary. He lets out a sigh of relief upon spotting the girl in one piece then runs a hand through his hair, having broken a sweat from all the sprinting around. "Jeez, Pru...gonna give me a heart attack one of these days." He mutters under his breath, saying it more to himself than Prudence.
He contents himself with leaning against the wall for a moment, not wanting to force the girl to come with him so soon. She had been through enough at the moment and he did not want to risk scaring her again. Besides, he had done enough running for today.

Both the doctors and the patient reacted immediately to the ceiling giving out, a small shower of plaster and drywall having left the floor, tables and beds (occupied or not) covered in debris. There, in a halo of wreckage, sat Prudence. Reinhardt couldn't say he was entirely surprised. Of all the people to spontaneously burst into the infirmary, Prudence was the likeliest what with her tendency to worm her way into the ventilation system. But then... where had that information come from? His delusion and his reality no longer meshed, there were no roofs above a roof! There was no way that Prudence had just smashed through the sky, and there was no way that the sky was made of plaster. For another time today, the real world came back to him almost fully, simply because it could not coexist with his psychosis.
His body wanted to flinch, but the impulse no longer stirred any muscles, restricted to an intention rather than an action. He wanted to say hello, too, but that was more effort than he could muster at the moment. Instead, sitting up at this point, he waved politely to Pru in a gesture that appeared to be no less difficult than lifting a two ton weight. Fitting of the strain, his fingers twitched intermittently and soon enough his hand found a resting place on a bedside rail. Despite this, he managed to smile. The same as before, remembering how to exist came with a slight learning curve.
By the time Perry got there, Reinhardt had managed to knit his fingers together (an awkward thing to see, considering half of those fingers were really just the unfortunate remnants of a third joint) and moved his hands to a resting position in his lap. From time to time, he flexed one thumb or the other with great care. He had also apparently discovered his voice, slow and joggy as it was. "'Allo, mis'ser Perry. Hello, Pru."

Henry shrugged at Perrys words and kept imaginary smoking as he ran off upstairs. After a few minutes he dropped it on the floor and put it out with heel of his imaginary boot. He looked around at the empty hall for a moment before walking back into his room.
The bedside table raised an eyebrow at him at him when he walked back in, "You're really just gonna stay here while he goes after your woman Mon frere?" it said in a casual mocking voice.
"Shut it Remy, Pru aint gonna run off with any man who looks tries his luck." Henry dismissed the furniture and sat down on his bed. "Shes a good girl... loyal."
"Don't be so sure mon amie. I've seen the way she looks at him, If I know anything then I know womens hearts... and you've got competition." The table scoffed.
"I'm warning yer, shut yer fuckin' mouth Remy.." Henry pointed at it threateningly
"I'm just trying to help you mon frere." the table finished.
Henry lowered his hand and turned to look at the door, a conflicted expression on his face. Perry was a good bloke... but maybe Remy was right. He lowered his eyebrows into a determined expression and marched out the door. He was going to the infirmary.

Upon Perrys arrival Pru's heart leapt a felt mile, but when he stayed in the doorframe she exhaled in relaxation. That was more than 6 feet away. That was okay. She turned slowly at the unused voice behind her, looking up to find Reinhardt actually looking at her. At her, not through her or just an empty stare towards her direction. No he was looking at her, into her eyes actually acknowledging her existence for the first time. She just stared back wide eyed, "You said my name." Her surprise quickly transformed into infinite joy, subconsciously stuffing Maximus as deep into her pocket as possible a grin widened on her face while she tried to scramble from her landing spot. "YOU SAID MY NAME!" Finally she managed to get up, tip toeing through the shards and splinters, because she was generally barefooted until she came to a stop before Rey. It was not her usual 6 feet but still a respectable distance. She looked at him and he actually looked back. She was so happy she could squeal, or jump or both and maybe actually hug someone. Doctor Thatcher maybe. She refrained from it, still grinning wide. "What I've always been meaning to ask, how are you doing Rey?"

Reinhardt's sudden greeting was quite a shock to Perry and he can't help but stare in bewilderment at the man. It was such a rare occurrence for him to speak at all, Perry felt quite privileged to be able to experience it. It seemed at least one thing had gone right today! "Hello there, Rey~" he replies warmly, smirking at Prudence's own, much more enthusiastic response.
He was then brought back to the damage that had been done and he looks at the wreck in disdain. He would likely have to be the one to clean that up since he let Pru escape in the first place. Perry certainly was not looking forward to that. "I'll uh...Get to that mess in a bit here." He informs the nurses while rubbing the back of his neck then sighing.
Hopefully nothing else would go catastrophically wrong today...

At a complete loss for what to do or think, only partially in his right mind and faced with a rather unusual situation, Reinhardt wasn't entirely sure of how to behave. For a moment, he looked between Perry, the doctors and Pru in confusion, looking for some sort of hint as to how he should respond, what he should do. Finally, he settled back on Pru, furrowing his brows and donning a rather uncertain expression. "Don't ah usually?" he asked, genuinely confused about the present circumstances. As far as he could remember, Pru kept him company often, being one of the few people in Gwangi he considered a friend. For a moment, Reinhardt visibly spaced out while he tried to mesh his two perceptions of the world together into some sort of functional hybrid. When he couldn't, the clarity returned to his expression and it became evident that he was going to just ignore the plotholes in his own reality.
After processing Pru's question, Reinhardt smiled a bit awkwardly and rubbing the back of his bad hand, he finally managed to produce a coherent (though quiet) reply. "Things's just dandy Pru, what about you?"

Henry swaggered into the doorway just as Reinhardt spoke and as his jumbled mind processed what he was seeing, he reached an entirely different conclusion to the one that Remy had suggested. Perry wasn't the issue at all, it was that soft spoken idiot speaking to Pru now. She practically had stars in her eyes when he spoke to her.
"Move aside Perry." he grunted, shoving the man from the doorway and marching in bold as can be.
"Henry what in the hell do ya think yer doin' get out!" Yelled the lamp next to Reinhart "Get out of here before yer cause anymore fuckin' damage."
"Stay out of this Hugh!" Henry stopped in the middle of the infirmary and yelled pointing at the lamp.
"Henry yer crazy, go back to yer room." The lamp said exasperatedly
"I aint crazy! You're crazy!" Henry retaliated, he was distracted from Rey and Pru for the moment by his argument with the appliance.

The ginger was just about to form an answer, despite being blown by all that sudden attention from the usually so apathetic man, but was interrupted by her living nightmare storming in. At first she was just staring at him wide eyed and scared, twitching here and there eventually starting to tremble like crazy. As long as he was fixed on her she felt like she was unable to move, pinned by fear and threat overwhelming her. Only when he started to yell at the lamp and looked away for a second she could literally pull herself free, although she was trembling like a lost, dry leaf. She immediately set her eyes scanning the room for a hideout, but the vents here were on the ceiling only and she had neither time nor condition to climb a shelf for the opening, so she took the nearest possibility.
"Excuse me", she said, nothing but a hushed, shaky whisper, crouching on the floor next to Rey's dangling legs and then smoothly slipping under the bed, a comfortable move due to the infirmary's smooth floor. She turned, hunched in a trembling little heap of panic, eyes wide open, like a trapped cat. Hoping the massive man wouldn't get to her. The fact that he'd be able to get closer than 6ft made her even more itchy already.

It looked as if things were finally calming down, Rey was speaking, Prudence was happy, all seemed to be well.
That is until Henry came barging in to scramble things up again, making Perry stumble a bit as he was suddenly pushed out of the way.
Perry had half a mind to start yelling at the man, but he already knew it probably wouldn't give him anything but a black eye or broken nose for it. So instead, he attempts to have a calmer approach towards the situation. He steps forward as Henry argues with the lamp and he holds out his hands towards him with a frown.
"Henry, didn't I tell you not to come up here? You're scaring Prudence, you need to get out before she goes running off again." he says, trying to reason with him, but already knowing he would probably be having trouble with it. Henry was arguing with a lamp after all...

Things in general moved faster than Reinhardt could process; his mental lag was taking a toll and his responses suffered for it. First things were a strange sort of calm, then Henry bust in, then Pru was catatonic. He'd managed to catch up by the time she slipped under the bed, a strange look crossing over his face as he muttered a complacent "It's alright," to her, albeit in the wrong direction and whilst looking between Perry and the newcomer. Leaning forwards slowly, he managed to touch the ground with his feet. Why he did so, he couldn't say; perhaps it was some survival instinct, perhaps it was a way for him to fashion a defense for Pru as best he could with what limited control over his own body he had.
Things only got stranger when Henry began to... argue with the bedside lamp. What with his skewed awareness and the fact that from this distance the finer details of Henry's gesturing were easily misunderstood, it seemed for all intents and purposes that the man was yelling at him. Finally, Reinhardt's ability to process human speech that loud and that angry returned to him, kicking in suddenly and without context.
"I ain't crazy, you're crazy!"
Reinhardt dedicated all of the willpower he had not to lean away, realizing suddenly just how close Henry was to him. He had seemed much farther away a few seconds ago, but now Rey knew that he could easily reach out and touch the other man. Instead he drew himself inward, hands in lap and mouth drawing into a thin line. Only his legs remained still, his feet planted firmly in the way.

Henry glanced at Perry for a moment and waved his hand vaguely at him, warning him not to interfere. This argument was between him and Hugh.
"Henry, look what you've done... If she loved you like you're always sayin' she does... then why is she always hiding from you? Can't you see anything strange about that?" The lamp gave Henry a concerned look.
"I.... Why... but..." Henrys anger fell off his face replaced by confusion, he let his eyes fall on Prudence's hiding spot and then at his own feet. Where were his boots? Henry didn't recall having bare feet when he walked into the doctors office.
"Henry you're not well.... please just go back to yer room." The lamp stated.
Henry turned around in a full circle, observing everyone in the room before stopping facing Perry. "I'm so sorry about all this, I don't know what came over me...." He said, dropping his southern drawl accent and speaking in his ordinary Australian one. "I'll just go away... now... I'm sorry Pru... Rey." He glanced over his shoulder and let his eyes fall on the two patients he had terrified before he turned and left the room.
He leaned on the wall just outside the infirmary and tried to collect his thoughts.

Aira stormed down the hallway with spreaded arms and bare feet like a mad pteosaur. Her eyes and mouth were wide open looking like she was the happiest person on earth. When passing Henry she circled around him not even slowing down.
"Hi, have you seen a floating vulcano around here?", she panted making the other dizzy by her constant circling around. It even looked like she was about to run up the walls at a point, but then she fell.

Pru held her breath when she noticed Reinhardt slipping from his bed and positioning himself before her hiding spot. That was a first. That was definitely a first. She couldn't remember the last time someone had defended her at all. The only looks she had received were those containing a disgusting lust, objectifying her and treating her features like praising a goods the market, or those of disgust, disbelief or pity. She had smiled to all of them. Especially after she had been forcefully taken from Gwangi and caged in this cursed asylum, nothing was the same anymore. Her imaginary strong self was gone. Left in gwangi to wither away while she was stuck here. The nearer Henry came the louder he became, the more intimidating, the more panic crept up her spine. She could feel tears escaping her eyes, but it didn't even disturb her vision, because her eyes were torn so wide open. She really appreciated Reinhardt's try to help, but she doubted he would stand an actual chance. And then, suddenly, he just stopped. Henry stopped, turned and simply left. It was a tad too late though. The girl was shaking and sobbing like crazy now, hiccuping in between short, irregular breaths. All her fears, nightmares, panic attacks, all the memories of men and endless nights of pain, disgust and the reoccurring wish to die and end it, all crashing down on her in a kind of tsunami, tearing at her skin and intestines, wrenching everything in excruciating pain. She clutched her arms around her frail upper body heaving to get some air into her lungs but the panic seemed to have pressed all oxygen out of her, not allowing it to come back in.

The psychologist left all the chaos behind to scale the tall steps that lead to the second floor. The whole time his mind was tossing around scenarios of what would happen. Most ended in a firing. The man rubbed his forehead, hoping the bleeding would stop. Seriously, how long could this gone on for? By the time he reached the large wooden doors of Pennyfeather's office he managed to stem the bleeding, but his white sleeve was dotted red from the blood.
Hindrick felt his stomach knot up as he reached a hand out to knock on the door. There was a brief pause and then three curt raps. He waited until he heard the muffled voice of Pennyfeather allowing him to come in. Awkwardly the man entered the office and closed the door behind him, then stared at the owner of this massive asylum. She was sitting at her husband's old desk looking over a few assorted papers and documents.
Hindrick stood there waiting for the woman to speak, but she said nothing. "Uhh... You wanted see me Ma'am?" He straightened himself and took a few steps forward. Pennyfeather looked up, raised a brow, "You're bleeding," She was blunt and showed no emotion on her face. Hindrick frowned and checked his forehead again, It wasn't as bad as before, but it was true. he was still bleeding.
"Ahh, I had a toy thrown at my face," He mumbled. "Clean yourself up after this. Now. I hear that things have been busy today?" "Y-Yes. Nicholas woke up and set a few things off and Prudence got into the ducts agai-" "You said you would keep that from happening." "What? Oh yes, I told you I want to have a company come by and fix up grates. I just need you to sign for it." "I'm not signing for it. I pay you to fix these crazies, not do construction." "But! She's going to keep going to the vents for security! The grates will help with the rehabilitation!" "No." "She's crawled into them four times this month! How can you ignore this?" "It's not my problem, it's yours."
The Russian felt himself go red from anger. How the hell did this woman get her hands on this Asylum? Who thought it was good idea? She was just using it make money form the state and families. No wonder his predecessor quit. Hindrick bit the inside of his lip and tasted blood. it was the only thing he could do to keep himself form punching the woman.
"Now that we have come to an agreement, I want you to clean up the mess and submit those reports to me. Or you'll not be gettign that little trip you've planned," Pennyfeather raised her brows and looked at angry man over, waiting for an answer.
"Yes Ma'am," Hindrick visually slumped. Well at least he wasn't fired. "Good boy, now deal with your mess," The older woman returned to her papers and gave a motion of shooing. Hindrick turned and left, quietly opening and closing the wooden door. The psychologist quickly made it to his office on the second floor before he finally snapped. Within the darkened office the man slammed the door and leaned heavily against it. HOW WAS THIS WOMAN OWNER OF GWANGI? HOW?
He grabbed the nearest object and tossed it at the wall. A plush dinosaur squeaked as it hit the wall with such force and gave a soft thump as it hit the floor. The man stood there heavily breathing, fists flexing. He was going to need to unwind, A LOT, tonight. A soft coo came from the corner of the room as Hindrick walked to his bathroom to clean his wound.
The coos continued as he stared into the mirror and observed the flow of blood from the cut. It was slightly deep but small. He'd probably need some stitches. Hindrick gripped the porcelain sink and after a brief moment of mental process he decided to go to the infirmary. He'd check on Rey, get stitches and then find out if Pru was found and how Evelyn and Dean were doing. He cleaned his forehead and tried his best to clean the dried and drying blood from his sleeve.
On the way to leave his office the coo finally caught his attention. A sandy coloured frillback pigeon sat in a wire cage, staring intently at him. Hindrick grumbled and walked over to the bird. He was rewarded with a soft coo as the door was open. "Come on then Alaois," He held his hand out and left the pigeon hop on. The frillback hopped on and then hopped to the man's shoulder.
Leaving the office he stalked down the hall towards the Infirmary. But it was clear there was not going to be anything to be done easy today. Henry was retreating from the infirmary framed by Aria. Perry was standing by the entrance looking just upset. As soon as the shorter man reached the doorway he saw the absolute mess. He blinked, felt the colour drain from his face and then he looked to Perry. It was clear that Pru had fallen form the ceiling. The nurses were checking on the other patients and Rey was sitting up on his bed. Pru was under said bed blubbering and having a fit.
His eye twitched, tonight he was going to really need his therapy. Alaois gave a great big coo form the psychologist's shoulder and puffed out his chest. Hindrick looked to Perry, opened his mouth to ask what happened, but ended up closing it. Clearly it was complete chaos. He also noticed no one was doing anything about the crying girl. Swallowing his anger and confusion he stepped into the room.
He carefully picked his way over to Rey's bed, but gave a good distance, knowing Prudence had a terrible fear of men. He crouched down and fixed his glasses. "Prudence, can you hear me?" He spoke in a soft tone, not wanting to scare her. "I have someone that misses you," The man looked at the girl under the bed, hoping she would understand him, or notice that eh had the bird on his shoulder. The bird for some odd reason really liked the ginger. It might have been the snacks she always gave Alaois though. The bird cooed and hopped down to the ground. Its soft voice sounded between sobs as the bird looked at the poor writhing girl.

At this point, Perry was going to end up being another patient here after going insane from trying to take care of everyone at once. Just when he though he had to worry about one less person when Henry left, Prudence went and had a breakdown.
Where in normal situations he would be able to console someone by giving them comforting words and a pat or a hug, in the asylum it was a whole different story. Many of the patients didn't like to be touched, hell, Pru could hardly even be approached.
Much to his relief though, Hindrick finally showed up and there was a bit of hope that things might start calming down again. At first it looked like the man might start to yell at him for all the damage that had been done, but thankfully he was momentarily distracted by Prudence.
As Hindrick works on calming the girl down, Perry leans against the wall with his arms crossed, waiting to see if he would be needed for anything. Hopefully all he would have to do next is clean up the debris from the ceiling and to put up a makeshift patch until real repairs could be done by an expert.
