Pru's eyes widened at Reinhardt. Had he just implied he was staying because he thought...she was right? She had done something right? AND was being supported? Her cheeks flushed a deep red, her whole head becoming hot and a bit woozy. This was the only time at this day she was actually happy her hair was in such bad shape, because as long as she kept facing towards the Doctor, the loose strands would cover most of her tomato face. Still the man before her worried her even more. His eyes were still glassy and he was yet to stop swaying. She frowned. She understood how it was to not know why to be helped, but she wouldn't have imagined it on a seemingly wealthy and accomplished man. She crouched again before the siting man, eyeing him intensely. Then she turned towards the blonde in the door frame. "You are some kind of Doctor too, aren't you? Help him already, don't stand just stand there like you're bloody dumbstruck!"

The two brothers returned just as quickly as the girl did and Hindrick gave a look of confusion. At this point he was far to gone to question them being in his room, but the fact the returned was just strange. People didn't care this much about strangers, did they? Alaois cheeped and lashed his tail about as the men returned. More help was good.
The man fussed with his shirt again. There was a term for what eh was feeling, it wasn't just exhaustion and malnutrition.... what was it called? Heat stroke? No, his temperature wasn't high enough. Maybe heat exhaustion? His body wasn't used to the constant temperature along with the fact he wore far too much heavy clothing. His mind was too muddled to really put a name to his symptoms, but he knew how to treat them.
Thirsty, achy, dizzy, low fever and fast pulse. He needed to cool down. The Russian side glanced to the blonde and ginger, then to the bedside table that his water was sitting on and Rey was leaning on. Water works. He grabbed the glass and splashed the remaining contents on is face, soaking his head and upper torso. Alaois blinked and hopped back as water dripped down onto the bed. The doctor kept a blank through his and announced in the calmest tone he could manage. "I have heat exhaustion." He continued to sit there, hoping the water would do some good.
His hair now tousled and wet flopped to the sides in a semi curly mess. His white shirt now soaked through and slightly opened revealed inked skin. A large chest piece of a therapod skull resting on a pair of wings could be seen. Underneath fabric banners of a blue colour shot off to the sides. The man still had his coat and vest on, so the other tattoos were hidden.

"Heat exhaustion, huh?" Ambrose rolled his eyes. "Fine, that'd explain 'nuff ah s'pose," he elbowed Reinhardt as he walked past. "Where's your aleskin?" Giving him a curious look, the ginger produced it from his belt. "D'ya fill this with water?" "...Ah... yeh, ah do?" "That's good, now go open that window n' get some air in 'ere," Ambrose assured him as he took the drinking skin from his brother's hands and offered it to Hindrick. "Here, drink. We'll get'cha something to eat once y'got enough water in 'ya." he promised, while Reinhardt stood by the open window and looked as if he was working up the resolve to say something. Whatever it was he wanted to state, he never spat it out; he'd decided that it was for the best that he didn't mention he used that aleskin for his dinosaurs and couldn't attest to the quality of the water. It probably didn't matter.

The ginger yelped a bit when the man suddenly emptied the glass over his head, her eyes widening as she could see ink shimmering through the white shirt, infinite patterns of several colors spreading across his chest and she could tell there was more beneath that vest. Resisting the urge to touch the tattoos she got up as quickly as she could, even more heat rising to her face and she wasn't sure if she should tell them she would faint to at this rate.
Hearing about the need for food, Pru immediately started digging her coats pockets for something edible. She remembered grabbing an apple from somewhere and half a bread from somewhere else and surprisingly enough they actually were where she had suspected, in the left "human" pocket of her huge coat. She proudly presented the findings to the blonde guy, mustering her with a mixture of disgust and a distant form of amazement, taking the apple and rubbing it clean against his vest, talking about something along the lines of "Vitamins first". The ginger was just happy to be of help and stepped back in order to give the Doctor some space. She presumed the other, blonde Doctor would figure what was to be done. She would use the time to quickly reassemble her hair for sure this time. Opening the bow she used her hands to comb through the tousled ginger mess, evening it out one by one, while the tie rested for a second between her lips. As soon as she could tell she had smoothed most parts out, she held the strands tightly together in a ponytail, while resuming her tie from between her lips, slipping it around the hair, collecting the two loops and finally making the bow. She could tell it didn't look as tidy as usual, but when did she actually ever look tidy.
When the blonde Doctor held his hand out she gave him the bread from her pocket too, the thought of her only food for the day quickly wiped away by the fact that she would be of help. She swiftly took a glance at the doctors chest again, biting her lip when she couldn't quite make out the image under the white cloth. She took a deep breather, folding her hands behind her back, wondering what kind of Doctor had such Tattoos. On the other hand, he had brass knuckles too, ...

The Russian gratefully took the waterskin and opened it. He was far too thirsty to care about the quality of the water inside. He was drinking foul water for a week anyway. The man took a small sip, knowing better than to gulp down the water unless he wanted to be sick. With some sort of air circulating the room it felt a bit better. But still. This dry heat was killing him. He was tempted just to go back north and deal with his money problems another way. He sipped the water again, focusing mostly on the floor. He barely even realized the girl had left the bed.
As soon as the apple was produced the small microraptor stopped moving all together. His eyes set on the shiny red apple that was now being tossed around in Pru's hands. Was he getting a big treat? WAS HE? The raptor let out the loudest cheep yet as it was passed to Ambrose's hand. Oh that better be for him. He looked like a small puppy bouncing up and down waiting for a treat.
Hindrick rested a his hand on the hyper active beast and took the apple with the other hand. Okay, maybe he didn't need to go hunting today. But where did they get this food so quickly? He had no money to repay them. He held the apple in his lap, trying to sort out his thoughts. The raptor on the other hand had pushed his head out form under the restraint and was reaching for the fruit. He was within claws reach when Hindrick lifted the fruit from his lap.
"Thank you.... auh... again," He doctor muttered. He was starting to feel a little better. But the dizziness was still overwhelming his senses. Thankfully is condition was keeping him from trying to shoo the three. Also it was keeping him from having a panic attack about three strange people HELPING him. The man looked down at the apple and then saw his raptor desperately trying to grab it. Hindrick blinked and used the hand that was restraining his beast to pull a switchblade from his pocket. In a very trained motion he cut a third of the apple and handed the piece to the raptor.
Alaois' eyes went wide and he snatched the juicy piece of fruit. The little beast started biting on it with a ferocity that would make a T-Rex cringe in fear. The beast rolled on his back in an attempt to eat it better while his tail lashed about. Hindrick looked at the apple blankly and found he wasn't actually all that hungry. Thirsty yes, but not hungry.
(( sorry for his lack of interacting with you guys. ;-; He's a little out of it. ))

"Oh, look at that," Ambrose said after a moment of just staring at Alaois tear up that slice of apple, his face unreadable for a few seconds before looked up at Reinhardt, who was returning from the window. "He's got fewer manners than you." "Aye, but he's still twice as polite 's you," Reinhardt declared as he passed by Ambrose, patting the visibly put-out blond on the shoulder as he did. Apparently he'd reached his days limit of taking his brothers jabs in silence, though in all likelihood he'd be back to placidity within a day if not an hour.
He paused there just beyond his brother, who had begun to thank Pru grudgingly for the food in a gesture which was more or less a subtle way of apologizing to Reinhardt for the hinted misbehavior, and fiddled in both pockets in pursuit of some unknown object. When he finally removed the hand, a paper-wrapped package was clasped in his fingers. He handed it over to Hindrick, keeping his other hand, the maimed one, safely in his pocket. "Here, if that apple's not to yer likin'... maybe some salted meat?"

Pru ignored the sudden urge to slap herself in order to snap out of her tattoo trance, instead she knitted her fingers behind her back, observing and a bit slower in reaction than normal. Nodding and smiling at the Doctors thanks came easy yet, thankfully. She chuckled at the bickering, wondering yet again who that blonde was and how Rey came to know him. She crossed siblings first, they didn't look similar at all, not enough to be brothers at last. They'd have to be the exact other family branch if they were.
That meat though. As soon as Rey had fished it out she could feel her mouth watering and resisted the urge to drool. Meat, when was the last time she'd had meat? must've been back in...no, not there either. She couldn't even remember, but she would definitively make sure her loudmouth stomach wouldn't give her away this time, she'd had enough awkward situations with it already.

Alaois finished tearing into his apple slice but continued to lay on his back, staring intently at the boys and Pru. The little raptor wagged his tail when the meat was shown, but didn't show the same reaction as he did to apples. The red fruit was a treat he had to be really good for. The little raptor eyed Reinhardt when he held out the meat and he let out a little whine.
Hindrick on the other hand was leaning on his into his hand, trying to steady his head. As the brothers bickered he took sips of water, but did not eat. He wasn't sure if he could. Though when the piebald boy handed him the meat he shook his head and put a hand up. "I am not really feeling up to eating... Sorry," The man mumbled and gave Rey the best apologetic look he could manged through tired eyes.
The zoologist picked up the apple he had cut and held it out to Rey. "I thought I could, but..." The man fell silent, trying to work through his condition. At least he was feeling a little cooler. Alaois at this point realized he was gettign no more food and rolled back on to his feet. He cheeped and and sat on his hind legs, it was almost as if he was trying to cover for his silly antics before by looking proud.
Hindrick took another swig of water, still trying to ration it. The silence was thick, and made him feel uncomfortable. It was a feeling similar to the few times he spent time with his parents. There was no talking, no one even looked at him, and he was ignored. But this time it was different. People were looking at him, expecting something. They weren't ignoring him. Before he could think any better of it, he opened his mouth and asked the question that had been on his mind. "Why are you helping me?" It was said in a curious tone and innocent tone, or as innocent as he could manage. He turly wanted to know why this group of strangers was fretting over him.

Reinhardt seemed to take that refusal in stride, nodding in a way that suggested he understood fully why Hindrick, who appeared to be a combination of starved and dehydrated, would refuse the food altogether. "Well, don't be 'fraid 'ta ask if 'ya change your mind." he took the apple from Hindrick and turned to give it back to Prudence, which was the point at which he noticed the way she was looking at the package in his hands. There was a moment of silence in which he considered swaying aforementioned hand back and forth to see if she'd turn her head to follow it, certain for a moment that she was simply staring intently at something behind him, but he didn't. Instead, he furrowed his brow and offered it up along with the apple, gripped riskily in his maimed hand. His gloves provided traction, sure, but there was no match for fingers when it came to holding on to smooth-surfaced circular objects.
"Miss, do you want any?" Reinhardt asked a bit uncertainly, "...Cause ah don't mind sharin' it with 'ya," Ambrose was giving him terrible looks from over Pru's shoulder. He could read his brother's thoughts to some extent, imagining the words, "She's a stranger and we have no money," in the blond's voice. He thought a response in turn, calm and impartial like anything he might have said aloud, "And ah'v got a gun, n' there's raptors in the desert. Where there's raptors, there's game, where there's game, there's more food. We can lend this much."
Both brothers cast a glance at Hindrick when he spoke up himself, demanding the reason for their help. Both blinked for a moment, exchanging looks before Reinhardt assumed a slightly quizzical expression. "Because you needed our help, n 'cause we couldn't just leave you out in the street." "It's just the proper thing to do," Ambrose agreed, though acknowledging that somebody else was right, even his brother, seemed to be a titanic effort for him.

The gingers eyes widened when Reinhardt proposed some of the meat to her, pointing at herself as i f questioning, "what? do you mean me?" As if there was another Miss in the room, although....that blonde....that hair. She thought about it while taking a piece of meat and her apple back, thanking Rey and crouching to feed the little fluff raptor with the apple, while taking a bite off the meat and mentally melting from the wonderful taste. She had almost forgotten how meat tasted, let alone proper and salted meat.
So she continued to dreamily nibble on the meat, while contemplating the blondes masculinity and worried over the Doctor. He was still a bit pale. He posed the same question as before, confusing her yet again. She also thought about Rey's answer. Because it's the proper thing to do. If only other people would think the same way as Rey, life would have been a lot nicer. "It's nice to be cared about", she said quietly, smiling widely at the Doctor "And you're a nice man, that's why. Also your raptor might be inclined to scratch our eyes out if we didn't help you."

Hindrick was thankful when Reinhardt easily took his words and the food. He wasn't up to refusing the if these people decided to force him. If they were so concerned for his health they might actually try to force feed him. He really hoped that was not the case. (mentality of a zoologist/vet, if you need to make it better, you'll force it to do so.)
His question was answered by all three people seemingly all at once. Well, yes, it was a polite and proper thing to do. But who was actually willing to be proper in this day and age? he raised his eyebrows in mild surprise at Pru's comment. She thought he was nice? She had only known him all of a hour, maybe less and she already thought he was nice?
That couldn't be right. the only people that have ever told him that were people he knew his whole life. "But you don't know me," he mumbled and rubbed his eyes, "Alaois, wouldn't do that. He's just noisy." He looked down at the small raptor, who had now crawled over to Pru and was munching happily on the apple. He cheeped happily and looked up at Hindrick. The man was looking even more confused as this conversation went on.
He definitely had to take some notes on this interaction. It was quite a first in his book.

"Well, sah'," Reinhardt said with a small shrug. "Jus' cause we don't know 'ya don't make 'ya less important," he furrowed his brow. That was what was wrong with people these days, everyone mistook decency for nobility and saw moral behavior as some sort of special quality. As soon as the twinge of annoyance at that realization hit him, he dismissed it. Hindrick did nothing to deserve his irritation. Finding a suitable chair near the bedside table, Reinhardt sat down heavily and took to watching the others in silence. His brother didn't seem quite so understanding, giving Hindrick a strange look before switching his attention to the raptor savaging its apple below. He took a less philosophical look on things, a little closer to Hindricks: clearly Hindrick wouldn't have done the same for them by the way he spoke, so the fact that they'd helped him put them in a position which he had no real right to be questioning. Of course, he didn't say so; Reinhardt would probably stomp the hell out of his foot if he did.

Pru bobbed forth and back on her heels while swallowing the last piece of meat when her gaze drifted outside the window where the afternoon sun was setting. She literally slapped her own head, with a sharp noise when she remembered something.
"Uhm, I just remembered, this one old man asked me if I could bring him that Picture of his wife, he can't walk so well anymore", she threw another glance at the Doctor, figuring he was getting better and if not Rey and that strange blonde with the wobbly worm in the tank on his back were there to take care of him.
"It's in his old house, in that Dalton town. It's quite a way and my Ruckus ain't the fastest, so I'd better get going if I want to find it by nightfall." She grinned, petting Alaois for a goodbye, shortly waving towards the three men while making her way for the door. "Make sure you get better Mister Doctor! I'll catch you guys later, I guess."

Hindrick hung his head, noticing the tone and look he was getting. He was used to it by now, that look of confusion or anger. But still, he always felt a bit down by it. Wiping his face he looked up to Reinhardt, and did what the polite thing would have been. "Well thank you," He frowned, "That's quite possibly the first time I've heard that..." He turned to grab something from his bedside table, but was stopped by Prudence getting up.
Hindrick blinked when the girl mentioned Dalton. Why was she going to that horrible place? Everything was rotting or just plain creepy. He probably would have let the girl go by herself; but the fact he spent a night there trying to find a way out with a very angry Maximus, which he then lost, made him think differently. He looked up, feeling better enough that the sensation of light-headedness had passed. "Uh... It's a bit dangerous there," he mumbled and then rubbed the back of his neck,"I think you may need some assistance." The man left the statement hanging, not sure if Pru would pick up that he wanted to help or not.
Alaois picked p what was left of his apple and hopped off the bed. He toted the bit of apple around proudly while trying to catch up to Prudence. It seemed the beast didn't want her to leave. Or maybe he thought he'd get another treat. But he followed after her.

At first, the idea seemed peaceable enough to Reinhardt for about two seconds. In that time, he and Ambrose managed to make eye contact, and his brother didn't seem to be concerned about Pru's announcement any more than he was. Then both realized the full implication of Dalton at the same time, eyes widening before both turned sharply to Pru. That was where their concordance ended, Ambrose offering up an almost astonished sounding "Who the hell would live in Dalton?" against Reinhardt's louder (though less emotional) "Ah ain't lettin' nobody go to that damned town alone at night." While he took a step forwards and his brother took a step back, both took up almost comically action-readied stances. While Hindrick seemed uncertain on the point of joining her in her trip, Ambrose and Reinhardt seemed to have made equally passionate, though opposite, decisions on the matter.
