It had actually been a while since Aira had entered the Bucking Bronto.
She was in a completely new attire; more civilized than her old native clothes, but it still had a sort of carefree charisma, and she'd even kept some feathers that had been turned into earrings. And no shoes on her delicate feet.
A half-empty glass of liquor was placed in front of her, and the casual amused look on her face which she usually had hid the thoughts that spinned around inside her head.
Aira had come to the conclusion that she needed a change of style so that she could let go of her past and start anew. She'd sold all the things she could live without to buy these new clothes and other stuff. The only thing that was missing on her checklist was a saddle for Xon. Her thoughts were spinning around ways in how to get a hold of such item. If she should find a job, loot a carriage or something completely different.
The stealing part was her last priority; she didn't want to stir up too much trouble as long as she stayed in Gwangi. When on the move again she could take on her life as a thief again. On the other hand she only needed to leave enough miles behind Gwangi so that her victims wouldn't be on their way to town..... Still last priority.

"Wow, Miss Aira, you look great. What's the change in attire for honey?" Jessie said pleasantly, placing the drink in front of the woman with her trademark, dazzling smile. She wasn't a good friend of Aira particularly, but Jessie made a point of knowing everyone in town and she didn't miss the slightest detail.

"Hi Chance", Aira smiled back at Jessie - she had no problem with the woman at all although their first meeting had been more or less strained at least on Jessie's side, "I just thought that it was about time to start my own life for reale. You did heard about the natives that was here a few days ago righte?" She sipped relaxed to the golden fluid.

"Of course, Mr Monroe saw them leave." she replied, checking up and down the bar for potential customers before she leaned on the bar to give Aira her full attention. It was still early and the saloon was fairly empty. "That was your tribe then I take it?" she added, pouring herself a drink too.
"I admit I've been anxious to know what happened that afternoon, poor Henry came back with a bloodied face." she gave the shorter woman a curious smile and downed her own drink.

Aira nodded when Jessie asked her question and sent a sideeyed stare at some of the few visitors before returning back to her conversation-partner. "It is all just fine, he prevented them from taking me away. They will not come backe", she said reassuring to Jessie and followed the saloon girl's example.
She put her elbows on the desk looking curious at the other. "You wouldn't happen to know if there are any avaliable jobs in towne? I am soon in need of money."

Jessie followed the girls eyes around the room, curious as to why she seemed to be worried who was listening. "Well ah would be glad to hire you... There ain't many jobs around for women such as ourselves. I just hired Miss Prudence recently as a matter of fact." Jessie gestured to a petite red-headed woman on the other side of the room, chatting to another girl in a red corset.
"If you don't want to dance, ah guess...." Jessie pondered for a second, there really wasn't any jobs for women that didn't involve her own line of work.

The moment she was finally done explaining Jane how you did the bloody CanCan Crossstep, she whirled through the entire Saloon in the blink of an eye, intending to greet Aira. She had never seen much of the red-headed native woman, but enough to note the major change in appearance. The ginger thought the mysterious lady to be gorgeous and amazing beforehand, now she was just stunningly beautiful and the longer dress gave her a way softer and feminine appearance. She slid the last feet towards them, swinging her light body onto the bar counter, lying there on her belly and greeting them with a cheery, "Lovely Day M'Ladys, Miss Aira you look STUNNING." Before slipping down behind the bar and scrambling for glasses. "What's the occasion if I may know. Also, Scotch anyone?"

Prudence had always had a positive effect on Aira although she'd never really talked to her. The woman's jolly approach lit up her mood this time as well. "And you are gorgeous as alwayse", she replied to Pru's comment and raised her glass with a smile, "and the occation is to celebrate changes in life! You can fill me upe."

Jessie laughed at the gingers enthusiastic approach and gladly let her refill her glass. "We were just discussing allowing Aira into our little dance troupe, Pru." she explained, addressing both the girls at once. "What do you think? should we give her an audition?"

Pru had all three glasses refilled and drunken half of hers faster than the other two had started to sip on theirs. She was quite a solid drinker, and bottles were about the only things she wasn't clumsy in handling. She swallowed the rest of the glass, set it down and started clapping excitedly. "I'd LOVE that! Of course, I believe Miss Aira would be a magnificent dancer. We could use a lot of feathers and such, wouldn't that be a stunning show!"

Aira's eyes couldn't help but sparkle a bit by Pru's words - dancing for money sounded like just her thing, she could combine some ritual steps with a little seducing, that could actually work put pretty well! "Oh my gods, it would be fantastice!", Aira was just as little-girl overjoyed as Pru, she was almost jumping, imagining how it would be to be a dancer; all the twists she could perform, all the costumes she could use. She giggled to herself by the thought of Henry seeing her dance. He would be thrilled, she was sure about that. She looked expectantly at Jessie.

Jessie gave Aira a myseterious smile, leaving both of them hanging for a little while although she had already made up her mind. "Jane, cover for me at the bar." she called out to the girl practicing her steps on the stage. The girl hopped down and hurried to take over for her boss. "Let's head to the backroom girls, Aira here can show us what she can do." Jessie called, picking up her skirts and walking to a door behind the bar.
The room was quite small, a dressing room more than anything else, but it had a bit of floor space in the centre of the room, enough to dance in. "You ready? Don't be nervous honey, it's just the three of us." Jessie pushed the needle down on the gramophone and started to play a somewhat slow tune. "Go ahead."

The ginger sipped the last bit of scotch from her glass, grabbed her skirt with one hand as usual and scurried after the other two happily, taking seat on one of the smaller chairs in the room, her face clasped between her hands and waiting eagerly for Aira to dance.

Aira followed with light steps excited about what was about to happen. She placed herself in the middle of the room waiting for the music to begin.
At first she didn't move much, getting to know the rythm and figuring out what would work to this. She started out with a few smooth footsteps and slow turning-arounds before she let her hips move along. There was a certain animalistic belly-dance to her style and as the music ventured nearer its own climax her arms twisted like ocean snakes in love. Her smiling eyes were filled with desire as she approached Pru just to tease her and turn away again, ovbiously pretending her to be someone else.
It was a quirky scene to watch; classic pianomusic mixed with passionate movements from the world outside.
And when the music slowly died out she swirled herself down onto the floor. She only lay still for a couple of seconds before opening her eyes and raise herself again excited to hear what they would say. "How was that?" she asked with eager and only panting slightly. She would've liked some more space to more around on, but luckily the saloon itself were bigger than this place.

Jessie lifted the needle on the gramophone and smiled. "I'm impressed Aira, you're a natural... the men will love you." she commented, walking around the smaller woman in a circle, as though sizing her up for costumes already. "Consider yourself hired... perhaps we could do a themed show. Feathers did you say miss Pru?" she stopped in front of Aira and pushed back her fluffy red hair to see what it would look like tied back. She let it fall back again, obviously deciding she looked better wild after all.
